We returned a few days ago and are still trying to re-adjust to our time zone!
We had a fabulous time - loved the country, loved Nan and really enjoyed meeting Sammy. Nan is a fabulous guide - as you well know. In particular, she responded to our needs and along with Sammy, made all of our last minute suggestions happen without a hitch. Nan was constantly on the look-out for unique experiences - stopping at the side of the road whenever there was something she thought would be of interest….e.g. a small village enjoying a donated meal, children celebrating a festival at the side of the road while cooking sweets, dropping in on a girls monastery and being treated to boiled peanuts, visiting her brother’s family on Inle Lake, dropping in on a wedding reception, experiencing the hustle and bustle of a local tea house…and the list goes on and on!
We added a 1/2 day of hiking in Kalaw with a hired guide . This day was definitely one of our highlights, enjoying lunch in a village home and even dressing up in village wedding attire! The hike was not strenuous - and it was stunning. We felt like we were walking through the Garden of Eden passing crops of every imaginable fruit and vegetable.
We loved our accommodations - they were charming, authentic and luxurious. We would recommend all of them.
Thank you for all that you did to open our eyes to this special country and to the wonderful people of Myanmar. We will be watching closely to see what transpires over there in the new year.

OK -This trip has been so over the top that I cannot stop long enough to email y’all. Everywhere had been the most special experience. We joined the pilgrimage parade in Pushkar, were upgraded to fabulous suites in Jaipur, had great back scenes tour of Gem Palace. This group of "non shoppers" finally broke loose and all bought jewels there. Of course, there was the largest tiger in the park in Rathambore with a sighting of over an hour and a half. Everything! And Raj is a true gem. He is the best guide I have ever had over here. Thank you for all these experiences- so many more tales.

I loved our India trip. The Ganges at night and during the day, the Taj, Diwali, the fireworks in Jodphur, the markets, Mumbai in the morning and our wonderful guides and of course, most wonderful, Raj.
I wanted to thank you for your patience and concern for all of us and for answering my many questions. I enjoyed the hotels and the restaurants that you chose and our itinerary.

The number of unique sights is staggering and overwhelming. And I realize how different they were when I start to retell these events to my friends. I am writing to tell you that our trip was terrific. I cannot imagine a better guide and from what we learned from other travelers we met along the way, (and there were huge numbers of them everywhere), we had the best arrangements, planning and guide. Nan was attentive, knowledgeable, flexible and on time. She is thoughtful about everyone.
The trip was amazing, with so much to see. I cannot imagine the changes you have seen. We saw a country in the 21st century with cell phones and satellite dishes in the most remote areas and in the 16th century with ox carts and water drawers. We would not change a thing about the tour.

Our time in Chiang Mai has been wonderful. We were met by our charming and smiling guide Ya Ya who took us to the hotel and arranged for two tours on Thursday (Elephant day- so we went to an elephant attraction) and Saturday (we went to the temple on the mountain. In addition Ya Ya took us to a wonderful place to buy carpets). We went to the Thai Farm Cooking School on Thursday, which was a lot of fun. Our hotel is wonderful. So Chiang Mai was the perfect place to end our journey.
We appreciate all the effort you put into making our journey perfect and you succeeded many time over.
