Cairo — Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Citadel and the Egyptian Civilization Museum and the Hanging Church. Tour neighborhoods with beautiful Islamic, Ottoman, and Coptic architecture. Walk through the fascinating Khan al-Khalili bazaar, filled with color and life.
Highlights of any Egyptian visit are the awe-inspiring Pyramids of Giza, a UNESCO-listed necropolis of pyramids, tombs, and temples. Wander around the Great Pyramid, the Great Sphinx and the even older step-pyramids of Dahshur and Saqqara. Have an up-close view from a horse cart or by camel.
Spend time with a visit to the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Ascend the Grand Staircase to explore the 12 galleries devoted to ancient Egyptian civilization.
Fly to Luxor. Visit Luxor Temple and the Karnak complex, Medinet Habu, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, including the tombs of King Seti I, King Tut and Ramses VI.
